Transportation

Each day the Quitman School District transports 1,774 students to and from school.  With 35 buses running each day, the district relies on the transportation department to facilitate efficient bus routes, manage bus drivers, monitor student behavior, and maintain the condition of the school vehicles.  The following staff are at work each day at the bus barn:

Maintenance

Quitman School District boasts five school building locations plus a bus barn.  These buildings must be maintained to preserve them for future generations.  The maintenance department works diligently to maintain these buildings and the campuses of the district.  The maintenance department performs routine maintenance from air conditioner repair to fixing door knobs.  The department is also charged with overseeing any building projects and maintaining open lines of communication with utility service providers and public officials.
