Thank you for being a part of Panther Nation! The district’s administrative team has been hard at work researching other district and state reopening plans and gathering input from our parents and teachers to develop our own return to school plan. We have tried to address our community’s needs while providing a safe, educational environment for our students’ return on August 6th.

Our plan can change as new circumstances arise. Although transportation will be provided, we encourage you to bring your students to school if possible. For those of you who choose to keep your children at home, you will need to contact your child’s school to let them know.

During the first month of school we will be having Virtual Fridays on August 14th, 21st and 28th so that our students practice online learning. Going forward our students will attend 5 days a week unless their parents choose Distance Learning.

As we explore this unchartered territory together with your cooperation and continued support, we are confident that our students can and will have a successful year.

HERE is the Quitman School District 2020-2021 Reopening Plan, and HERE is our Distance Learning Plan.

We know you have questions, and we have scheduled two virtual town hall meetings to help answer those. Tuesday, July 14th will feature QLE Principal Amanda Allen and QUE Principal Leah Ivey in a YouTube Live question and answer session starting at 6:00 p.m. QJH Principal Bill Russell and QHS Principal Tommy Molden will be taking questions through the district’s YouTube  page on Thursday, July 16th at 6:00 p.m.
