Quitman Lower Elementary

Amanda Allen, Principal 

Mrs. Allen is a graduate of Mississippi State University, Mississippi College, and Delta State University where she recieved a Bachelor, Master, and Specialist degrees in educational leadership.  She has been working for Quitman School District for 9 years as the principal of QLE.

When asked why she chose to work at Quitman School District, Mrs. Allen said, "After interviewing, I was asked to take a tour of QLE. The atmosphere was so energetic and joyful. I knew this would be a great school to be part of."

Mrs. Allen's most rewarding part about working for QSD and QLE is working with some of the best educators. She said she has been in awe of their talent and commitment to make children love school. Not only do the children experience wonderful programs and events, but they have teachers who make every day special. She likes to call it #QLExcellence, and Mrs. Allen says it is something you have to experience to understand because no description could define or truly capture all that it is.

Holly Slay, Assistant Principal 

Quitman Lower Elementary consists of grades Pre-k through 2nd grade. More than a cute phrase or catchy slogan, QLExcellence is our standard. When you come to our campus, walk down our hallways, or enter our classrooms, you will see excellence. When you work with our staff members and meet our teachers, you will feel excellence. We have high expectations at this school and we are excited about all of our QLE Panthers.
